uNmINeD 0.18.8 – Highlighter

New uNmINeD development snapshot is available for download!

Changes:

  • Added highlighter
  • Added Replace flowing water option to fix issues caused by random chunks of flowing water found in Bedrock oceans
  • (GUI) Added highlighter settings

This first release of the highlighter is pretty simple, but it can do a lot. It can be used to find blocks and biomes, to check block distribution, and to create interesting visualizations. Highlighters are saved with map settings, and can be used with the CLI.

Examples:

Dripstones, lush caves and villages are highlighted
Highlighted emerald ore

This is great, thank you so much for all the work you’re doing on this! Can I ask how you highlighted the villages? I can’t see that as an option. Or are you just targeting beds or bells etc.

Thank you for reporting this. It’s an AvaloniaUI issue, they released a fix few hours ago.
I will update and build a new release.

Excellent app. Great replacement for overviewer. I wondered about a new feature that I’ve been wanting for a while. Adding a history option to the export map. That is to say an option to look through older versions of chunks. Or an option create a new map each time, and a new scroll that takes you through old versions of the world. This would let you look through the progression of your world.

It would eat a lot of storage, but it could pretty easily be optional and off by default.
